UNEP’s Climate Finance Unit has developed aseries of training modules for addressing land use risk and solutions by thefinancial sector. The training is aimed at key players such as banks and investorswithin the financial ecosystem to manage and mitigate land use risk.
The trainings move beyond conventionalapproaches to risk management such as awareness raising, it presents financialinstitutions with practical methodologies and tools for addressing risk andfinancial solutions.

Deforestation risk management and solutions for Banks
Training modules address deforestation risk and financial solutions of banks with global reach, and business relationships and exposure. The training assumes a basic level of knowledge on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues, and is therefore aimed at banks/investors with some knowledge of ESG, however this is not a precondition.
